After officially launching highly anticipated Vega Iron 2, Pantech has big plans for the sequel to its Secret Note phablet. According to reports out of South Korea, it has been suggested that Pantech could be one of the first few Android OEMs to come to the market with a device packing Qualcomm’s 64-bit chipset, the Snapdragon 810.
The first ever phablet which is going to be packed this beast Soc is Pantech Vega Note 2. Further reports indicates that, the successor of Vega Note Phablet would have Adreno 430 GPU featuring ARM’s big LITTLE technology with four Cortex-A57 and four Cortex-A53 cores. This combination of CPU and GPU is monster so far and they are capable of handling 4k Video and LTE-Advanced Technology speed at 300 Mbps.
Qualcomm announced the availability of silicon to manufacturers will be from this year end,expecting the devices equipped with this newly fangled processors sometime in the first half of 2015. The reports from Asia states that this new Pantech phablet will be released in the second half of this year.
The new Vega Note features a 6-inch 1440×2560 display to show off all the graphic expertise of the new chipset. The device also supports stylus and a special hardware to keep the motor cool while being put to work. Pantech’s flagships typically doesnot have a wide network outside of Asia, so it might score a headlines globally during the official launch of Vega Note 2 next year.
