iPhone 6 shell has been leaked by MacFixit recently. It’s a 4.7 inch shell and if the rumors are true then it would be the bigger version of iPhone family for now.
The green color in this shell just appears to be a plastic coating and not the color of the metal itself. Silver aluminum is seen underneath the camera lens.
There was another leak a while before comparing the 5.5 inch and 4.7 inch iPhone models and the 5.5 inch version was allegedly called as iPhone 6S Air.
Photos shared by nowhereelse.fr appear to be simple cases of both 5.5 inch and 4.7 inch iPhone models, paired with physical mockups. The photos show the 5.5 inch iPhone Air and 4.7 inch version side by side providing scale comparison and also approximate dimensions of both devices.
The larger case is identified as being for iPhone 6S and nowhereelse.fr reported that it measures 7 mm thick, 81 mm wide and 157 mm long. The iPhone 6S model is a bit larger than the 4.7 inch model. The 4.7 inch model measure 7.0 mm thick, 67 mm wide and 138 mm long. MacFan published design drawing earlier, the dimensions of both of the cases closely matches with those design drawings, which are base of the most recent mockups and renderings.
Physical features of both the cases look to be similar. Rear cutover for the camera, cutout for the usual volume buttons and mute button along the left side are similar too. Reportedly there is a new cutout along the right side of the cases and it’s probably for a relocated power button in the upcoming 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch iPhone models.
Both 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch versions of the iPhone 6 are expected to come with a thin profile similar to fifth generation iPod touch. A touch ID fingerprint sensor, faster A8 processor and improved camera with optical or electronic image stabilization could be part of the new devices. It appears that the 4.7 inch version might hit the market this fall.
