7-inch Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 crops up again or is it Galaxy W?

A brochure for Korean service provider SK Telecom points to a forthcoming device called the Samsung Galaxy W. The device is analogous to the SM-T2558(the Galaxy Tab line uses SM-T model designation),we reported a couple of weeks ago and is expected to feature a mammoth 7 inch screen having a 720p resolution.

It comes with a “Phoneblet UX”,which includes a landscape mode and Multi Window split-screen function. The back panel is rumoured to come with the faux-leather look that was last seen on the Galaxy Note 3. It also looks like the recent apps button has been replaced by a capacitive menu button.

The phablet is powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor backed by 1.5 GB of RAM. It features 8 GB of expandable memory. On the optics front, there is an 8 megapixel rear camera along with a 2 megapixel front camera. It is expected to run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean which could be a deal breaker for some.

The Galaxy W could see an international release as the successor of the Galaxy Mega 6.3. The device likely to be released later this year under the Galaxy Mega 2 moniker in South Korea. It is not yet certain when the device would be moving out of Korea, if at all.
