The Kairos Hybrid Watch Is The First Mechanical Smartwatch

Most smart watches are trying to look like real watches so that they don’t look cheap, but they fall short of the promise because at the end of the day they are using tiny electronic screens, and there’s a limit to how realistic it can look. So far, smart watches and mechanical watches have been very different. Kairos is trying to change all that with its Kairos Hybrid watch.

Kairos Hybrid is still a concept right now so you shouldn’t bet on their product just yet. There are many companies out there that show an impressive product that never sees the light of day. We hope that Kairos Hybrid will be a reality because its just such an amazing thing. It is powered by movement and generates current using magnetic chargers. It has a transparent smartwatch display which shows different notifications to the user. The watch is supposed to have 5 to 7 days of battery life.

Kairos Hybrid is to be released in four models that range from $499 to $1199.

You can choose between metal or gold for the outside and Japanese or Swiss for the mechanical components. As well as a leather or PVC band.

The smartwatch screen is said to use a Transparent OLED screen.

Kairos Hybrid watches that use Japanese mechanics are planned to be released on December and Swiss models are to be released in limited quantity on March.

These watches are to be designed to support Android and iOS. The information about what type of operating system the watch itself uses is unclear.

It will be really great if the Kairos Hybrid becomes a reality. If you pre-order the watch right now you can get some upgrade options for cheap but its a little risky to pre-order a product which does not even exist as a prototype yet. Lets hope this one make it to launch and then some.
