The recently launched Motorola DROID Turbo has some powerful specs. The Verizon exclusive DROID Turbo is the most powerful Android smartphone available in the market today. If we compare the performance benchmarks of flagships of various companies, the Motorola DROID Turbo, LG G3, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Sony Xperia Z3 and Apple iPhone 6, DROID Turbo comes out way ahead of them all.

Have a look at the chart:

Motorola DROID Turbo Performance Benchmarks

Taking the benchmarks one by one, the first one is Quadrant. This benchmark covers 21 tests that include processor, memory, 2D graphics, output and Input. Here, Galaxy Note 4 tops with 24,053 points followed by LG G3 with 23,551 points and the Droid Turbo is third with 21,739 points.

An Tu Tu measures CPU, memory, 2D and 3D graphics, SD card and other process performances. In this, DROID Turbo is ahead of all with 48,412 points followed by Galaxy Note 4 with 41,185 points.

In the Vellamo Metal benchmark that tests single core CPU performance, the Snapdragon 805 quad-core 2.7GHz processor of Motorola DROID Turbo performed way ahead of others with 1814 points and LG G3 came a poor second with 1,322 points.

The Sunspider measures JavaScript computing performance and in this test the lower score is better. Here, iPhone 6 scored the lowest 353.4 points while DROID Turbo came second with 828.2 points.

Coming to graphics, in the GFXBench T-Rex and Manhattan 3D on-screen tests, iPhone rendered maximum frames per second in both the tests with 49 FPS and 26 FPS respectively but iPhone 6 has the lowest screen resolution at 750 x 1334. Sony Xperia Z3 has a 1080p screen and rendered 29 FPS and 12.5 FPS. The other three have a whopping 2560 x 1440 resolution.  In the tests, DROID Turbo rendered 28 FPS and 11 FPS, Samsung Galaxy Note 4, 26 FPS and 11 FPS and LG G3, 21 FPS and 7FPS.

Thus we can see that Sony Xperia Z3 is the best performer among Android phones in the GFXBench benchmark but it has a lower resolution. The DROID Turbo is undoubtedly the king in QHD smartphones. In the T-RED test, DROID Turbo is faster than Galaxy Note 4 and in the Manhattan test it is at par with it. The LG G3, with its weaker graphics comes last.

The Basemark OS II is an all in one benchmark similar to the An Tu Tu and in this, Motorola DROID Turbo got the highest 1297 points, followed by iPhone 6 with 1239 points, Sony Xperia Z3 with 1099 points Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with 1038 points and finally the LG G3 with 951 points.
