Chinese handset maker Xiaomi has made quite a buzz in the Indian market with its first launch of Xiaomi Mi3 proving to be a big hit followed with the launch of low-range Redmi 1S which too managed to grab a good fan base in the country. Back in July, the company announced its three handsets in the Indian market of which two have already been released and the Redmi Note fans in India are waiting for its arrival!
After receiving an extremely good response recently in Indonesia, Xiaomi vice-president Hugo Barra announced via Facebook that the next destination for the handset would be India. No need to say that like its two previous handsets, the Xiaomi Redmi Note would too be exclusively sold via Indian online retailer Flipkart.
The handset offers some pretty good hardware with a 5.5inch display having 720p resolution, 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek chipset on-board, 2GB of RAM with 8GB of internal expandable memory, a 13MP primary camera to its back, a 5MP secondary camera to its front, some on-board connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, Dual SIM, GPS, HSPA+, and Wi-Fi and a 3100mAh of battery life.
Xiaomi has kept a very attractive pricing of Rs 9999 for this handset. Well, just like the Redmi 1S you might get a surprise with a dip in its price at launch.
