Apple launched its latest iOS update 8.1.1 on Monday. The new update provides more stability for security updates and bug fixes. Along with covering up the usual issues, the latest update is said to increase the speed of Apple iPad 2 and Apple iPhone 4s, two older devices that are still used by many users. We have seen it before that whenever Apple releases a new update, the older models get the impact in form of decrease speed. Previous updates for both these devices caused them to suffer greatly in form of slow speed. However, this time Apple said that with the latest iOS update, both models will be able to run with normal speed.
The new iOS update repairs the previous issues affecting iCloud Drive and iWork for iOS. The update will be available for Apple iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The iOS 8.1.1 will also be available for all the iPads excluding OG Apple iPad. Users will also be able to install it on the fifth-generation Apple iPod Touch.
The update is sent out via OTA so everyone would be able to get it. Users can install it by going into the device settings > general and selecting Software Update. Stay connected to the Wi-Fi network until the device finishes the update process. Battery should be 50% charged so the update process can be completed successfully and device doesn’t shutdown in middle.
