Recently, Xiaomi has ventured its smartphone business out of China to other countries like Singapore and India where the company has gained immense popularity in no time. Now the company is all set to shift top gears and go global by announcing its international app store to majorly encourage developers from Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Currently, the Chinese app store is witnessing nearly 50 million downloads a day. This figure includes downloads in addition to the 3000 apps built for the company’s own tablet Mi Pad.
Xiaomi recently celebrated the 10 billionth download from its app store. This year, the company has went out paying nearly $60 million to developers to enhance their apps. It is sure that this international app store would certainly prove to be very useful for its global users.
Well, Xiaomi is currently banking upon Google’s current decision of getting its Play Store out. But looking at a big potential of Chinese market, we wonder how long Google would stay to its decision. Well, this the time being and looking at the growth rate of Xiaomi, we believe the company will have a strong foothold in the market.
