Xiaomi to launch Redmi Note in India next month

Chinese handset manufacturer Xiaomi  has already created much buzz in the Indian markets with its two device the Xiaomi Mi3 and the Xiaomi Redmi 1s being sold within seconds. Now the company is pitching one more phablet handset the Redmi Note in the market as the Mi India’s Facebook page reveals the flagship to be arriving next month on the 2nd of December. On 2nd of December, the company would carry out it yet another flash sale via Flipkart where other devices of the device are usually sold on Tuesday.

Looking to its specs, the Xiaomi Redmi Note comes with a 5.5inch IPS display having a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Under the hood lies a powerful MediaTek MT6592 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.7GHz with nearly 2GB of RAM memory, 8GB of internal storage and 32GB of expandable memory via microSD card.  The handset comes with a powerful 13MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera. The handset is currently said to be running the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean topped up with MIUI v5 on it and we soon expect the company to offer a KitKat update.

The good thing is that the handset is available for an extremely affordable price of just Rs 9999. Lets see, that just like its previous two devices, whether this too can be a big hit for the company.

Xiaomi Redmi Note likely to hit Indian markets this week

Chinese handset maker Xiaomi has made quite a buzz in the Indian market with its first launch of Xiaomi Mi3 proving to be a big hit followed with the launch of low-range Redmi 1S which too managed to grab a good fan base in the country. Back in July, the company announced its three handsets in the Indian market of which two have already been released and the Redmi Note fans in India are waiting for its arrival!

After receiving an extremely good response recently in Indonesia, Xiaomi vice-president Hugo Barra announced via Facebook that the next destination for the handset would be India. No need to say that like its two previous handsets, the Xiaomi Redmi Note would too be exclusively sold via Indian online retailer Flipkart.

The handset offers some pretty good hardware with a 5.5inch display having 720p resolution, 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek chipset on-board, 2GB of RAM with 8GB of internal expandable memory, a 13MP primary camera to its back, a 5MP secondary camera to its front, some on-board connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, Dual SIM, GPS, HSPA+, and Wi-Fi and a 3100mAh of battery life.

Xiaomi has kept a very attractive pricing of Rs 9999 for this handset. Well, just like the Redmi 1S you might get a surprise with a dip in its price at launch.
