Verizon is going to add at least four new labels to its tablet line-up shortly. According to @evleaks, Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 are ready to be launched by the largest US mobile carrier. Besides Amazon’s tablets, Verizon will also release Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 tablets. We already gave information about arrival of Galaxy Tab 4 series last month.
There is a speculation that both the Kindle Fire HDX 7 and HDX 7 8.9 will support Verizon’s LTE network. Pricing details are not leaked yet, but Amazon is presently retailing Kindle Fire HDX 7 LTE for $300, and the larger Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 LTE for $494.
We are not expecting truncated prices for Amazon tablets, since Verizon has a tendency of overpricing its tablets on contract (see the recently launched Galaxy Note Pro and Galaxy Note 10.1.
Although there’s been no word yet from Verizon or Amazon about the carrier offering these tablets, this source doesn’t often get it wrong so we’re likely to be hearing something official soon.
Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, 8.9 could be launched by Verizon
