HTC One M8i is a variant of HTC One M8 which was launched in March 2014. The device was expected to be launched during MWC 2015 which will be held in Barcelona together with HTC One M9. The HTC M8 Eye here holds the codename as Desire Eye with 5.2” display having 1080p resolution, a powerful Snapdragon 801 chipset with quad-core Krait 400 processor clocked at 2.3GHz and a 2GB of RAM support. The handset is tipped to come with IPX certification for water resistance, 32GB of built-in storage and a 2400mAh of battery capacity. The Desire Eye would be running Android OS topped with Sense UI.

Thre are quite a bit of rumors in the industry about HTC planning for its selfie-centric handset HTC Eye to be launched in coming months. Recently, @LlabTooFeR has tweeted that this very smartphone from would be called as the HTC M8 Eye. This handset is believed to be tweaked up version of HTC One M8 where its 4MP Duo camera would be replaced with a powerful 13MP Duo Camera. HTC would not change the front-facing camera keeping it to just 5MP making it a true “selfie” device.

However, the HTC M8 Eye would have quite a similar specs to the HTC One M8 except for the fact that its primary camera would be topped up with additional MP sensor that would allow more light to pass through the camera for better pictures. The device would come with Android 4.4 KitKat pre-installed topped up with the company’s own Sense 6 UI. The screen size for the device is believed to be slightly increased from 5 inches to 5.2 inches having a full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, powered with a quad-core Snapdragon 801 CPU clocked at 2.3GHz, a 2GB of RAM memory, 32GB of built-in memory with 128GB of expandable memory through microSD card slot and a battery capacity of 2600mAh.

HTC launches One E8 and Desire 616 in India

HTC unveiled the new Desire 616 and One (E8) smartphones for the Indian market. These new smartphones will be adding the company’s Android portfolio in the country, which currently includes devices like One (M8), Desire 816, Desire 310 and Desire 210.

The HTC One E8 is a somewhat trimmed down polycarbonate  variant of the HTC One M8. It features the same key specifications like the flagship –5-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 801 Quad-Core processor, 2GB of RAM, 5MP front camera and 2600 mAh battery. It sports a 13MP rear camera instead of the Duo camera setup present on M8 and also misses out of the IR blaster.

Software wise, the HTC One E8 runs Android 4.4 KitKat with the familiar Sense 6 UI. The smartphone will retail for 34,900 in the country and will be available around July-end in Polar White, Electric Crimson, Maldives Blue, and Misty Grey colour variants. HTC is releasing the dual-SIM version of One E8 in India.

HTC One Vogue(M8 Ace) gets official in China

The HTC One M8 Ace has been a long awaited device within the entire tech community. However, the device has made its first official appearance at the official HTC Chinese website with the name of HTC One vogue Edition. The handset is believed to launch next week most possibly on June 3.

Looking at it, the device appears to be a plastic clad and looks much similar to HTC’s last year HTC One M7 flagship. The auto Touch-Up software gives a natural look to the photos.
