Like other Vertu products, Vertu Aster is handmade in England. The side rails, back plate, pillow and sound bar is made of hardened Grade 5 Titanium. The raw material normally found in spacecraft and sport cars and it is twice as strong as stainless steel with half of its weight. The screen is made of solid sapphire crystal, the second toughest raw material after diamond. Therefore, it will not be easily scratched. There are a few options for the back part. You can choose from Calf Leather (Onyx, Lagoon, and Blush), Karung snake sking (Caviar, Tangerine, and Raspberry) and Cognac Ostrich. While the lower part of the mobile phone is made of laser-blasted, hardened black PVD titanium for strength and stunning appearance.
The device comes with 4.7 inch screen size with 1080p resolution. On top of that it is surrounded by Dolby Digital Plus tuning. The main rear camera is a 13MP Hasselblad-tuned shooter with dual-LED flash while the front camera is a 2.1MP. Both cameras are guarded with sapphire.
Vertu Aster runs on Snapdragon 801 chipset processor, 64GB of built-in storage and Android 4.4 KitKat. It supports 19-band LTE (Cat.4), noise-cancellation and aptX for Bluetooth audio streaming as well as NFC. The battery is as of 2,250mAh and supports Qi wireless charging. It is 11.2mm thick and weighs 193 grams.
Pricing starts at $6,900/£4,200 up to $9,700/£5,900 depending on the back material.
