Reports: Samsung and PayPal executive meet to discuss for Samsung Pay

Samsung seems to be making every possible move to get in its mobile payment system Samsung Pay soon in action. Recently, the company also bought out the LoopPay that is famously used in many of stores in US. In order to give a further boost to its project, PayPal founder Peter Theil and Samsung heir Lee Jay-yong had recently has a meeting at the company’s own owned hotel in South Korea Seoul. It is said that the negotiations between the two parties have been quite fruitful and the hour-long meeting is said to have clicked for Samsung Pay: “Samsung’s Lee may have asked for business advice from Thiel, who is an expert in fintech. Expectations are high that Samsung will soon launch a new competitor to Apple Pay.”

The Samsung Pay is reportedly being incorporated in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 and the great thing is that at the start only it is supposed to work anywhere with the magnetic strip debit and credit card acceptance with over 10 million points worldwide.

The case for Apple Pay was that it required merchants o have their own dedicated POS terminals, which somewhat has been the reason for its low adoption but as Samsung might use the already established and widely accepted LoopPay system, the acceptance for its Samsung Pay is expected to be fast.

HTC One M9 said to have a 20MP Toshiba sensor with propriety pixel design for its camera

We just spotted almost the complete specs for the HTC One M9 that showed the device to be having a 4MP UltraPixel camera to its front here the back Duo camera would now be replaced by an 20MP Toshiba sensor.  Today, most of the flagship handsets are said to come with a 20MP primary sensor and major of the handsets are seen to come with Sony sensors. However, reports now show that the HTC One M9 will now utilize 20MP camera sensors made by Toshiba instead that will give some new level of image quality different than Sony sensors.

The Toshiba made 20MP mobile sensors are the recently announced ones T4KA7. The sensors supports backside illumination, 1080p video recording up to 90fps, real time HDR mode, Additionally, it offers square pixels for starters with 1.2micron tiny pixels as seen in all high-resolution mobile sensors. According to Toshiba, the sensor “utilizes a proprietary square-pixel design that enables exceptionally high-quality images with low-power consumption.” Take a look at the below block diagram for the 20MP camera sensor of Toshiba.

T4KA7-blk

The specs for the sensor show a 1/2.4” size, 3752 vertical and 5384 horizontal pixels, 22 fps of recording at full resolution. The Sony 20MP IMX320 sensor has also got phase detection autofocus built-in. This shows that there is a big battle between camera sensor makers for high-resolution, advanced features, powerful image processors and much more. Moreover, a lot depends on the software algorithms too to ensure how effectively they make optimum use of the sensor image processing prowess.

Recently, the company is having a swipe fingerprint sensor on its flagship handsets like the Galaxy S5, Note 4 and the Note Edge handsets. The touch-based system will definitely be more simpler and faster for these large screen devices. The above image at the top is the official render of the Samsung Galaxy S6 from T-Mobile. The earlier Korean publications have claimed that they would incorporate a more taller fingerprint reader for the upcoming Samsung flagship. If you carefully at the above image where the handset has been shown placed upside down at the right side, you can see a more squarish touch home-button.

Rumors are also strong for Samsung to be bringing the Samsung Pay -its own mobile payment system most probably via fingerprint recognition, which means expecting a new touch-based more efficient and faster fingerprint sensor could prove to be right. Well, things will be clear at the official announcement before MWC this Sunday on March 1st.
