The much awaited HTC One M9+ has recently been leaked in two new images coming from the source @upleaks. However, it also says that the handset could be announced as soon as tomorrow at a media event to be held in China. This leaked press image shows the handset in two tones of gold and silver. The HTC One M9+ is expected to feature a 5.2inch display with 1440×2560 pixel resolution which is a QHD one. The device would be baking a 64-bot octa-core MediaTek MT6795 chipset to its heart supported with the PowerVR G6200 Rogue GPU for graphics control. The device would be having a 3GB of RAM memory and 32GB of internal storage memory. To its back, a powerful 20MP primary camera and to its front a 13MP secondary camera for selfies and video chat is also expected. The device is also said to have a fingerprint scanner to its home-screen button at the front. The handset would be running the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop skinned with the Sense 7.0 UI over it.

Design and Display

The HTC One M9 has got a re-defined design with dual anodization, scrath-resistant coating and sapphire glass lens for its camera. Moreover, compared to its predecessor the HTC One M8, this handset has now gone even slimmer and lighter. The Power/Lock key has got a new replaced position, the volume rocker turns better and the device has got new color options to flaunt in style. Software

To its front, we have got the 4MP UltraPixel sensor, just like the HTC One M8, but comes without autofocus. The rear has got new cooler effects and the company promises new Zoe apps for iOS and Android.

Now a new leak has emerged, this time from Twitter that gives some additional details about the HTC One M9 specs.

According to the leaks, the new HTC flagship is supposed to have an improved 20MP rear camera. Spigen’s HTC One M9 cases appearing for pre-order on Amazon also confirmed it. Now this new tip by Roland Quandt claims “filling in the blanks” for the said phone regarding its 20MP camera. According to him, the camera will feature f/2.2 aperture and 27.8 mm lens. This means that the camera might not be Sony’s 20MP snapper that has been used in smartphones such as Xperia Z3 and Meizu MX4, but may be of some other make.

Another leakster Ricciolo tipped PhoneArena that the camera sensor in One M9 is made by Toshiba which is another big surprise from HTC after the huge 5X jump in its camera compared to One M8. This reliable tippster claims that the size of the camera sensor is 1/2.4” which is a little smaller than Sony’s.

Additionaly, it also lists out most of its specs and some pricing details for the upcoming flagship. These renders show the handset to be in “gunmetal grey” and “gold on silver” variants. However, the renders are very much in line to the previously leaked images of the flagship.

HTC is going to announce this quarter its flagship smartphone along with newer variant of Sense UI. HTC also announced the same in the first quarters of the 2013 and 2014 respectively. The final name of the flagship is expected to be HTC Hima or One M9. While the newer variant of Sensce will mostly be Sense 7.
