Some of the documentation details for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge have recently appeared on the FCC website. The item carries a model number EP-PG920I that belongs to one of the accessories from the list that leaked two months back. The inductive wireless charging pad has a round form and is said to be produced in Vietnam. The pad has got a 5V input with peak consumption up to 2A. However, note that not the entire current passes to the smartphone.
The charger has been tested with the Galaxy Note 4 and we cannot comment at the moment that the upcoming Galaxy S6 would charge even faster or not. It is strongly speculated that Samsung is likely to bring the wireless charging to its upcoming flagship. We will get you with official details on the 1st of March.
