Samsung Galaxy Tab S with Exynos 5433 chip for benchmark test

Samsung Galaxy Tab S comes with Super AMOLED panels which is supposed to give high quality of resolution. Many reviews praised this but there are some who thought that the processor can be a little bit faster. Samsung aware of this shortcoming as the company manufactures Galaxy Tab S version with a newer processor. This device is recently spotted in GFXBench database.


All the series in Galaxy Tab S comes with Exynos 5420 chipset. It is capable of providing a decent CPU performance. However, it seems like the chipset is not powerful enough to operate the WQXGA resolution of the Super AMOLED panels that Tab S series used.


From the GFXBench Databases, Galaxy Tab S seems to have using Exynos 5433.  It is the same chip that powers Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Exynos 5433 comes with octa-core CPU that consists of 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 processor and a 1.9GHz quad-core Cortex-A57 processor.


The detailed benchmark results has not been released yet, however, a battery life rundown test performed on Galaxy Note 4 shows that the Exynos 5433 is  power efficient as it can power Note 4 running on 1440×2560 pixels of resolution. Therefore, since it can power the previously mentioned display resolution, it should be a no problem to power display resolution of 1600×2560 pixels.


The updated Galaxy Tab S variant will launch between mid-October and early November in South Korea. Although there is no news until now, we do hope that the updated tablet will be sold internationally.

Exynos 5433 chipset baked in Galaxy Note 4 is a 64-bit chipset according to source code

Earlier this month at the IFA 2014 Berlin expo, Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge both hosting some very premium specs on-board. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 which comes with Samsung’s own Exynos 5433 chipset, however the company has not been much vocal about the baked silicon and has just said the device to be having a 1.9GHz octa-core processor. Well, its good news for all the Samsung fans as the source code for the device reveals that the Exynos 5433 chipset comes with a 64-bit ARM architecture having the Cortex A-57/53 configuration.


This makes the Galaxy Note 4 as the first Android handset to have a 64-bit chipset on paper. However looking to its GPU, it is the ARM’s latest Mali T760 clocked at whopping 700MHz that would certainly contribute towards higher and uninterrupted performance of the Galaxy Note 4.


Well, for the moment Samsung might be keeping itself from advertising its 64-bit chipset is because Android L is about to arrive an its believed that after the introduction of Material Design, there would be apps that would truly be able to unlock the potential of 64-bit architecture. Just getting revised with the specs, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 5.7inch QHD display powered with a 1.9GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, 16MP primary camera and much more.

This year Samsung is pretty much planning to bring its next handset in its famous “Note” series and the rumors for the Galaxy Note 4 have already started catching much heat. We all know that Samsung is quite well-known for its Exynos processors and recently the company introduced its new octa-core Exynos 5433 chipset which comes with integrated LTE Cat 4 facility and much more. Now recent reports coming from IBTimesshow that Samsung might plan to bring this chipset to most of its Galaxy Note 4 models available globally. This chipset even hosts the Intel LTE Category 6 modem and with the Intel XMM7260 cellular chip on-board, the Galaxy Note 4 could facilitate its users to get faster download speeds of 300Mbps.


In addition to these Exynos versions, the Galaxy Note 4 could also be powered with the famous Qualcomm chipsets. Moreover, recently both the versions of the handset have been spotted on AnTuTu benchmark. In addition to the powerful Intel modem, the Exynos 5433 chipset also comes with Mali GPU which gives the device a considerable bump in the graphic capabilities of the device.


The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is very likely to be unveiled at the IFA show this year in Berlin, to be held in September. The Galaxy Note 4 could come with a new design along with the Google’s latest released Android L OS.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with Exynos 5433 scores higher than Snapdragon 805 in AnTuTu benchmark

Two different variants of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 have been spotted at the AnTuTu benchmarks. The two variants are powered by different processors, one with Samsung’s own Octa-core 64-bit Exynos 5433 processor and the other with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset.


AnTuTu has posted benchmark scores for both the variants. As such, the Snapdragon chipset has always been faster than the Samsung processor. However, this time it is the other way round. Although the new Snapdragon 805 is faster than the current Snapdragon 801 version, benchmark scores reveal that Samsung’s own Exynos 5433 is even faster.


Have a look at the AnTuTu benchmark scores for the two variants of Samsung Galaxy Note 4:

In the chart above, we can see that Samsung Exynos 5433 breaks through the 40K mark and scores 40303 which is much higher than the 37780 scored by Snapdragon 805. NVDIA Tegra K1 is of course the fastest, but that can be attributed to the fact that it was tested on device with 1920×1080 resolution display while the Exynos 5433 was tested on a mobile with a display of 2560×1440 resolution.


If we look at the breakdown chart, the scores for both Exynos 5433 (N910C) and Snapdragon 805 (N910S) chipsets indicate that the Exynos 5433 is superior in almost all aspects.

AnTuTu benchmark lists that both the variants of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 would have a 2560 x 1440 QHD display, 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM and a 16MP rear camera. A leak last week had revealed that the Snapdragon 805 version will be available for sale in North America, South Korea, China, and Japan, while the other Exynos 5433 version will be available in Europe.
