The Elephone P5000 handset with the largest battery backup goes official: Official Images and Promo Video

Chinese handset maker Elephone recently announced its new handset the Elephone P5000. Design wise the gadget looks quite similar to the Samsung Galaxy devices however what makes it special is its huge battery backup of 5300mAh, which is the largest ever till date offered in a smartphone. The company claims that the device’s huge battery can offer usage for a period of 4 days. The company has also incorporated a fast charging mode in the battery that charges it to 70% of the maximum capacity in just one hour and can even be used for transferring power to other devices.


The device also offers some pretty good specs with a 5inch 1080p display powered with a octa-core MediaTekMT6592 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz, and Android 4.4 KitKat runnin on-board. Additionally the device has got a 16MP snapper to its back and a 8MP camera to its front. The memory options for the device include a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device also comes with a fingerprint scanner and the good thing is that even though having a huge battery it is relatively thin with just 9.3mm of thickness.
