HTC makes a silent launch of its Desire 620G in India

Earlier this month, there was a new as HTC planning to launch its Desire 620G, a 3G version of the HTC Desire 620 in Asian markets. A recent report shows that the HTC Desire 620G has already been launched in India. The only change of the Desire 620G from its original model is that instead of the 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 410 chipset as seen in the Desire 620, this phone has a octa-core MediaTek MT6592 chipset. Just to your notice, this chipset doesn’t support 4G LTE connectivity but as such with Indian markets in mind, the 4G connectivity is still a yet to arrive story.


The company has not went for an official launch of the device, but has only been spotted on few of Indian online stores and is offered for sale. One of the Indian online retailer SnapDeal is currently offering the device with a price equivalent to $253 USD with shipping in three to five days.


Looking to its specs, the Desire 620G hosts a 5inch display with 720×1280 pixel resolution. The device has dual-SIM capabilities having 1GB of RAM memory and 8GB of internal storage with 32GB of expandable storage via microSD card slot. The camera to its back is 8MP while the front has a 5MP secondary snapper. The device comes with Android 4.4.2 pre-installed topped with the company’s own Sense 6.0 UI. The battery capacity is sufficient to 2100mAh.
