According to the reports coming from The Korea Economic Daily, Samsung could launch its first Tizen powered handset with model number SM-Z130H in next month of Jan 2015. The reports says that the Samsung official has declared that the handset would be launched on January 18, 2015 in India. Additionally, the official also confirmed that this new handset would not more than 100,000 Korean won or $90. It is said that Indian customers would be able to buy the handset online in addition to the company’s own sales networks across the country.
This Tizen powered handset known as the Smasung Z1 is basically an entry level handset as the company wants to have a strong hold in ultra cheap handset that are quite popular in the emerging markets. The Samsung Z1 is said to have a 4inch display with 480×480 pixel resolution and is powered with a 1.2GHz dual-core Spreatrum processor. It has a 512MB of RAM, 3.2MP primary camera and a VGA secondary camera. The device also supports features like dual-SIM, 3G and Wi-Fi.
Let’s wait till January to see the first Samsung device out there in the market. Following the launch in India next month, the device could hit China in February 2015 and even its home-town South Korea by mid 2015.
