Well, after surfacing through all the leaks and images, the Huawei Honor 6 Plus is now finally official as the company today officially announced the handset in the hometown of Beijing. Talking about the specs for the device initially, it hosts a 5.5” 1080p display with a powerful octa-core Kirin 925 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz which comes with a dedicated image signal processor (ISP). Talking about its major USP which is the dual camera, the Huawei Honor 6 Plus to its back holds a setup of two rear shooters with “Symmetrical dual camera technology“. The rear cameras consists of two 8MP camera sensors of 1.85 micron pixel size but still are able to take 13MP camera shots. The dedicated ISP as mentioned above is assigned the job of merging and interpolation shenanigans. One of the two camera has an f/2.0 aperture with autofocus and the other has a f/2.4 with fixed focus setup.
The stunning setup of two sensor coupled with two lens kit allows more light to be captured while taking shots thus delivering excellent night scene results and focusing much faster. The company claims the focusing time to be just 0.1s which makes it the fastest mobile camera on the planet as on date. A zinc alloy framing across the dual camera kit is made making it sure that the sensors stay in parallel without any kind of misalignments. This dual camera setup helps in producing depth-of-field effects as seen in HTC One M8 and few other camera apps. Additional on-board stuff helps in bringing noise quality reduction giving better low light performance. Check out the video below for camera details.
