There are a lot of rumors going on regarding iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus prior to the official announcement for both smartphones. According to the well-connected analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, the next iPhone will be a little bit wider and taller by around 0.15 millimeters and thicker by 0.2 millimeters.
Apart from the changes on the physical appearance of the smartphones, it is rumored that both smartphones’ bodies will be made of 7000-series aluminium which apparently the strongest aluminium alloys that is currently available in the market. With this material, hopefully, it can prevent the smartphones from bending under certain conditions. The material also reported to be used in Apple Watch Sport and regular editions.
On top of that, iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus is rumored to come with a new color, rose gold color, which apparently, the color will look like the 18K rose gold Apple Watch edition. Another rumor stated that Apple could go all out and release a luxury 18K gold iPhone which is targeted to the rich. The existing colors such as the champagne gold color will be getting more 18K yellow gold-like shade whereas the Space Gray color will be darker.
Kuo speculated that iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will be released in September. Looking back at previous reports which stated that Apple has already started contacting its suppliers to start the process, it seems like it is possible to release during that period.
