Vizzywig 4K, the video capturing and editing app for iPhone is pricing at USD1000. The app was built to turn an iPhone 5S into a 4K motion video camera and it also has editing feature. It was created by Michael Zaletel from i4software. The creator has a lot of experience using 4K video camera, he is a member of a forum called RedUser.net, and it is a forum for owners and users of RED 4K, 5K and 6K cameras. Therefore, he understands how expensive it is to buy and maintain a 4K camera as well as creating a full editing and distribution workflow for it.
Vizzywig 4K is targeted at video professionals who want to be able to shoot a quick video and send it immediately to client for review or just to upload it to youtube as a portfolio. The apps capture full 4K resolution photos (3840 x 2160 pixels) at 24 photos per second. It also capture audio soundtrack separately. It operates at a data rate of 576 megabits per second and there should be a lot of space available in the device to store the movies.
The app user interface is similar to the less-expensive HD version of Vizzywig app (selling at USD29.99). However, there are some improvements on the setting. There are a few things that can be adjusted, such as the session and multi-camera resolution from 4K downwards, the quality of individual JPG images that was captured, frame rate, 4K export quality (default is 75 Mbps). Lastly, the user can also add titles, transitions, scrolling credits and even background music.
