The iPhone 6 Set To Launch In 22 More Countries

The new iPhone has recorded more than 4 million pre-orders in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, and the UK. This is a record for Apple, sealing the iPhone 6 and iPhones 6 Plus as bonafide hits. Now its time for the rest of the world to experience the iPhone 6.

Since demand is high, there is a possibility that orders will be sold-out quickly. If you want to get one right now, then going to a brick and mortar store after 19th of September should avail you of an iPhone 6 if you live in one of the above mentioned countries. If not, don’t fret as Apple plans to open up sales to 22 more countries.

Here’s the list:

  • Austria

  • Belgium

  • Denmark

  • Finland

  • Ireland

  • Isle of Man

  • Italy

  • Liechtenstein

  • Luxembourg

  • Netherlands

  • New Zealand

  • Norway

  • Portugal

  • Qatar

  • Russia

  • Saudi Arabia

  • Spain

  • Sweden

  • Switzerland

  • Taiwan

  • Turkey

  • United Arab Emirates

Curiously China is still not in the list of countries getting an iPhone 6 release yet. China’s name was removed from the list of countries overnight on Apple’s website. Until now there has been no news about the reason for the hiatus. Most likely its an issue with a Mobile carrier. China is expected to get a release date soon enough.

To the surprise of the Android community the new iPhone was a great hit with over 4 million units sold in pre-orders in the first 24-hours of its sale. The Apple store’s website crashed a few times due to the tremendous number of people trying to get their order in time before all units were sold out. It seems that Apple’s predictions of high demand were on point. Now with the new SWIFT programming language and iOS8, Apple customers might just get the best experience yet.
