Well, the day has finally arrived and Xiaomi has officially voiced its much awaited Xiaomi Mi4 today at an event in Beijing. Lei Jun, Chief Executive of Xiaomi took the center stage to break the covers of the company’s new flagship Xiaomi Mi4 that comes with a premium quality design with a metal frame and chamfered edges.

The Xiaomi Mi4 comes with a 5inch Full HD 1080p display and is powered with a very powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC clocked up to 2.5GHz. The device comes with a whopping 3GB of RAM which allows the company to claim it to be the fastest smartphone available on the planet at the moment.
The Xiaomi Mi4 comes with a 13Mp primary camera with f/1.8 shooter of Sony sensors and is capable of recording 4k video. The front camera has been lifted to a great extent from its predecessor and measure 8MP which too comes with Sony sensors and an 80 degree wide angle lens. The device comes in two memory options with 16/64 GB of internal storage of eMMC 5.0 kind. The handset runs the latest available Android 4.4.2 KitKat topped with the company’s own MIUI v6. MIUI offers multiple customizations and weekly updates. Users will get more goodies as the MIUI 6.5 is coming next month on August 16th. Here is the image gallery for the device.

The handset comes with sufficiently large battery of 3080mAh and sustains for a day and a half. The device supports a quick charging at 9V/1.2A or 5V/2A which charges up to 60% of the battery is just an hour.

Now we come to the main point for which Xiaomi is much known for! Yes, you guessed it right it’s the pricing of the device. The handset is priced for just $320 (1999 yuan) for the 16GB model and $400 (2999 yuan) for the 64GB model. The company is going very strong these days with record breaking 26.1 milion sales of its handsets in its own country in the first quarter of 2014. Well, the company has recently went global and we would be eager to know when the handset rolls-out in the global market.
