Recently we saw the Sony model D6603 code number PM-0800 touted to be the much awaited Xperia Z3, get certified by the Federal Communications Commission, US. Another Sony device speculated to be the Xperia Z3 has now successfully passed through the FCC with code number PM-0802-BV. Sources indicate that two versions of the device have been certified.
One version is meant for the Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo having local LTE. The second version of the alleged Sony Xperia Z3 that has been certified by the FCC is model number D6653 code number PM-0806-BV. This version is meant for the international audience. Both the models have been issued Bluetooth, wireless LAN and NFC certification.
In another leak, @evleaks has posted two images of the Xperia X3. One image shows the back panel of the handset and the other shows the side view. This device appears to have roundish edges unlike its predecessor the Xperia Z2 which has somewhat flat edges. The back panel looks like it is made of glass and bears a camera with an LED flash. Sony logo is visible in the middle of the panel and the brand name Xperia can be seen at the bottom. The side view shows a camera button, power on/off button, a volume rocker and a flap probably covering the microSD card slot.
We have already seen some of the Xperia Z3 leaked images earlier. This Sony device is tipped to have a 5.15-inch 1080p FHD display powered by 2.4GHz Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, 20.7MP primary camera and a 2.1MP front-facing camera. The device will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
Sony Xperia Z3 and its variant the Xperia Z3 Compact is expected to be announced bu Sony at the IFA 2014 to be held in Berlin in September.
