Samsung Rebrands Its App Store as "Galaxy Apps"

Samsung has rebranded its app store and launched it under the name Galaxy Apps. In an attempt to take on the dominance of Google Play, the South Korean giant’s own Galaxy Apps store will be accessible to over 130 million users across 161 countries.

“Samsung Electronics launched Samsung Galaxy Apps, an app store that offers hundreds of apps exclusively available to users of Samsung Galaxy mobile devices. An improvement upon its predecessor, Samsung Apps, the new app store features apps that will allow greater customisation of mobile devices and will also function as a platform to offer various promotions and discounts” ,the Samsung Electronics told in a blog post.

The new Galaxy Apps update is sporting a cleaner and more streamlined interface. It seems like a faster, responsive and a visual refresh to the apps store. The update can be done manually through the settings section of the previous Samsung Apps.

Do share your reviews, if you’re already seeing Galaxy Apps on your Samsung smartphone.
