Japanese manufacturer Sony’s Xperia T3 handset which was unveiled in the first week of June, will be available in stores around the world soon. Presented by Sony as “the world’s slimmest 5.3-inch smartphone” the Sony Xperia T3 will first hit the shelves in Hong Kong next week i.e. on 14th of July.
The news has appeared on Sony Mobile HK’s FaceBook page that says “The world’s thinnest 5.3-inch smartphone Xperia T3 will soon meet with you!” (translated). The device will be priced at around HKD $ 2,998 equivalent to about US $387, €284 and £226.
The Xperia T3 is a mid-range smartphone 7 mm thin, has a stainless steel frame and weighs 148 gms. As already mentioned, it has a 5.3-inch HD IPS screen with a resolution of 1280x720p. Other specs include Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and Adreno 305 graphics, 1GB Ram and 8GB internal storage with a microSD card slot to expand up to 32GB. The handset sports an 8MP Exmor RS rear shooter and a 1.1MP front-facing one. It has a 2500mAh battery with talk time of 12 hours 46 minutes and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. Connectivity options include 2G, 3G, LTE (4G), Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Miracast, NFC and aGPS.
The Sony Xperia T3 will be available in 3 color options –black, white and purple.
