At the CES 2015, Lenovo has made some big announcements including the second generation Lenovo YOGA Tablet that comes with Windows 8.1 pre-installed and the company’s new AnyPenTechnology.

This new technology AnyPen quite resembles its name and allows users to use any metal object in the surrounding as a stylus and even draw on the 8-inch IPS touchscreen of the tablet. This means that users can make use of a knife, a fork, a ballpoint pen and any other similar kind of things as a stylus and still work with your tablet.

In addition to this new embed technology, the other specs for the device include an 8-inch IPS display with 1080p resolution. The tablet bakes a 64-bit Intel Atom quad-core chipset supported with 2GB of RAM memory and 32GB of internal storage. To its back is an 8MP primary camera with auto-focus while its front hosts a 1.6MP secondary camera. Additionally the device has stereo speakers with Dolby Audio and Wolfson amplification. The battery is really huge with 6800mAh battery juice offering 15 hours of seamless working.

A new HP 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablet gets listed

Computing giant HP seems to be coming out with a new tablet very soon! A new 8inch tablet with Windows 8.1 has appeared on the company’s website with the name of HP Pro Tablet 408 G1. The tablet comes with more better memory option, enhanced camera features and even supports the use of digital pen.

The HP Pr Tablet 408 G1 has an IPS screen having a resolution of 1200×800 pixels and is powered with Intel Atom Z3736F Bay Trail processor clocked at 1.33GHz. the device has a 2GB of RAM memory with 32/64GB of built in storage and an option for the expandable memory of up to 128GB via microSD card slot. To its back is a good 8MP primary camera while its front has a 2MP secondary snapper. The tablet comes with a good battery support of 4800mAh and comes with Windows 8.1 pre-installed and dual stereo speakers. The tablet is said to have been assembled by Foxconn.

However, the pricing of the tablet is still a suspense and the date of availability is still unknown. The tablet is believed to have paid a visit to FCC.

Rumours of Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows 8.1 Explained

There are rumours circulating that Lenovo is coming up with Windows 8.1 versions of tablets in its current Yoga Tablet 2 versions. The models which are likely to be released with Windows 8.1 versions are the 8-inch and 10-inch Yoga Tablet 2 devices as well as 13-inch Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Pro.

There is a photo leak from Italian tech blog, TabTech.de, shows that most probably a 10.1-inch Lenovo Yoga tablet 2 is using Windows 8.1. The design appears to be similar to the Android version, the only difference is that there is addition of Windows button on the bottom bezel and the tablet’s body is using a slightly darker colour. Currently, there is no further detail on the internal hardware. On top of that, the Windows-based Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 series most probably is going to use the same specification as the Android version. Recently, HTC has announced that HTC One M8 is now available with either Android or Windows Phone on the same hardware. However, there is no tablet manufacturer which allows Windows 8.1 and Android versions on the same device. Since Microsoft has lowered or even eliminated the licensing cost Windows 8.1 for tablets, we can expect more and more tablet manufacturers allow customers to choose between the two operating systems.

Nokia Lumia 730 known as “Superman” to be launched in last week August 2014 in US. The device will come with new Firmware called “Debian Red”, running on Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 out of the box.

The Lumia 730 will be a phone for selfie lovers as rumors suggest a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Other unofficial specs include a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 4.7-inch display with 720p resolution, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and a 2000 mAh battery.

The selfie smartphone from Nokia will be available with Dual Sim variant. It has a unibody polycarbonate build and an 8-megapixel rear camera with Zeiss optics as well as on-screen software buttons.

The Lumia 730 might be heading to Verizon and AT&T in the US before the end of August, with further markets to follow. As dual SIM smartphones are particularly popular in countries such as India and China, there are likely to be plenty of potential buyers waiting to see if the phone will release in their region.
