Chinese handset maker Meizu seems to be on a roller-coaster ride and doesn’t wish to stop at all. Recently the company released its flagship handset Meizu MX4 and the Meizu MX4 Pro and now it seems that there are many more surprises still in line. The company is all set to rival its hometown counterpart Xiaomi and wants to take the competition in the mid-range segment as well. A new mid-range handset tipped for $130 namely the Meizu K52 has leaked in images showing up a 4.6” display and a 64-bit chipset.

The Meizu K52 is likely to have a 4.6” display with 1080p resolution with a powerful MediaTek 64-bit octa-core chipset clocked at 1.7GHz. the memory options are pretty fair with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device will also support the dual-SIM functionality on-board.

Few of the leaked snaps show up the device along with a suspected Meizu Blue Charm Note phablet in orange. The Meizu K52 seems to have rounded corners with a tapered back. Meizu MX4 Pro finally goes official : Specs and Official images

After a long long wait and too many rumors and leaks, Chinese handset manufacturer Meizu has officially declared the 5.5” Meizu MX4 Pro. The design of the device is quite similar to the original flagship Meizu MX4 with a slightly redesigned capacitive buttons. The device offers an very good screen-to-body ratio of 76.5% with slimmed down 2.8mm bezels, 9mm thickness and weighs 158 grams. Talking about the screen, the device hosts a 5.5inch JDI display having a resolution of 1536×2560 pixels and is covered with the toughened Gorilla Glass 3 at the top. This extremely high resolution boosts the pixel density to 546ppi and the company claims that the handset can offer a maximum brightness of 450 nits.

The device is powered with the quad-core Samsung Exynos 5430 SoC the recently launched 20nm which arrived along with the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. The chipset comprises of four Cortex A15 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and other four Cortex A7 clocked at 1.5GHz. Additionally for graphics support, the device has the powerful Mali T628 MP6/600MHz GPU graphics. The memory for the device includes a 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and would be available in three storage options of 16, 32 and 64 GB.

To its back, the Meizu MX4 Pro has a 20.7MP camera with Sony IMX220 Exmor RS camera sensor with a sapphire glass shield. This sensor offers 5 element, 300 degree panoramic lens with an aperture of F/2.2 and a fast 0.3 seconds autofocus, dual-tone flash, 4K video recording and a 100fps burst shooting mode. The front hosts a 5MP camera shooter with 4 element, 84.4 degree wide-angle sensor. The handset runs the company’s own Flyme OS skin topped over the Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

The handset comes with dual-band Wi-Fi of 2.4GHz and 5GHz, LTE band connectivity, NFC, GPS, A-GPS, Glonass and Bluetooth 4.0. The device bakes a powerful 3500mAh of battery life to support all its powerful specs.

The company has introduced mTouch its own work on fingerprint sensor. This new sensor is placed under the sapphire glass covered home button that could register and process user’s fingerprints in just 0.5 seconds. The sensor offers a sensitivity of 508ppi meaning you could get the job done even in your finger is dirty or wet. For its audio enhancements, the company has introduced a new TI OPA1612 amplification chip that comes with an advanced DAC master clock architecture with ceramic film capacitors and high-precision-low-temperature-drift resistors to clip the background noise.

 

During release, the handset would be available in three different color variants of yellow, grey and white. The handset would be priced with a $410 tag.

Chinese handset manufacturer Meizu has come up with some very innovative and crazy invitations and we suspect is they are surely for the long monitored Meizu MX4 Pro. The image shows up an 7inch vinyl record with a packaging and a slogan saying “Think Higher”. The handset manufacturer says that each of thei invites contain a real vinyl record that contains a personal message printed inside. The invite for November 19 means that the same day we could get the first glimpse of Meizu MX4 Pro.

The Meizu MX4 Pro is tipped to have an 5.5 inch display with a QuadHD display resolution of 2560×1536 and also and finger-print sensor to its front. For example, the head-stunning Meizu MX4 which was released recently, it is somehow having a similar design with an upcoming iPhone 6. Meizu was expected to launch two new models in September 2 launch in Beijing recently. However, the company took us by surprise by only announcing one model, Meizu MX4. Therefore, recently, we heard that the other version of the smartphone –Meizu MX4 Pro is coming out later this year.

Yes, your guess is right! MX 4 Pro will be the upgraded version of MX4 if we go based on the model naming itself. The model comes with a MediaTek MT6595 octa-core CPU whereas its predecessor MX4 comes with quad-core CPU processor. The design of MX4 Pro will look a little bit like Samsung with the home button placed at the centre. It will have a fingerprint reader which most likely to be fused on the home button itself. The design is quite different from the designs of the smartphone models that the Chinese company has released to date.

There is no further detail on the specification confirmed by the leak. However, we heard that MX4 Pro will be coming with 5.36-inch QHD screen display size. It will run on Exynos 5 Octa SoC, a 20.7MP camera and it will be running on Android 4.4.  There is also an YunOS-powered version surfaced a few days ago. According to one of Meizu’s executives, the release of the MX4 Pro has been postponed to November. The upcoming Meizu MX4 Pro will reportedly come with a 5.4-inch display similar to the MX4. It has a fingerprint scanner that’s on par with other sensors on the market. The rumors of smartphone running Ubuntu Touch made the rounds online. By default, the high-end Chinese smartphone runs on Android KitKat OS with Meizu’s Flyme v4.0 UI on top of it.

The screen resolution of the MX4 Pro is heightened to 1,536 x 2,560 pixels (2K display), whereas the original MX4 comes with 1,152 x 1,920 pixels.
