LG G Watch 2 May Make Its Appearance In IFA

It has not been more than two months that LG has launched its LG G Watch but according to a new report, the world will soon see the LG G Watch 2. Korea Times reported that the next wearable from LG is ready to make its appearance in the IFA which will start on September 5 in Berlin and will end on September 10.

According to the report of Korea Times, LG official said that the company has started to put forward the new smartwatch alongside Google’s wearable platform. The upgraded watch would make its appearance in IFA fair.

There is very limited information about the watch features. This new LG wearable is said to have an OLED display. This display would not be similar to the current G watch display which is IPS LCD display.

It has also been said that the new watch could have a Qualcomm processor. In future, LG planned to have the company’s own Odin processors in its devices. For other things, nothing more is known.

It is said that LG G Watch 2 will compete against vapor iWatch, which is unsurprising. It is also not known that who will get the chance to see the watch; clients only or general public can also see it. According to the LG official, LG Electronics has received too many offers for strategic collaboration from the authoritative watchmakers. So it can be expected that LG could only show the watch to the clients for the partnership. We have only few days left to know what is surely going to happen.

The first two smartwatches built on the Android Wear platform are launched yesterday. One is from LG, the G Watch, and the other is from its arch Korean rival, Samsung, the Gear Live.

Both smartwatches run on the Android Wear platform, and both of them have more or less the same software. Android Wear really does two important things, it moves app notifications to the smartwatch’s face, and it puts Google Now’s voice-powered search capabilities on user’s wrist.

Last week,Google has set up a section dedicated exclusively to apps optimized for Android Wear. The apps developed by Google are truly interactive because they’ve already enabled voice actions. For example, both SMS and email will let you send a reply right from your wrist.

Having Google’s Intelligent Assistant on the wrist is immense. It is precisely the kind of thing that makes sense on a watch, and Android Wear is wonderful for alerting you about things happening in the real world around you based on your location and digital history—so too is it on your wrist.

The LG G watch costs $230 which is  $30 more than the Samsung’s $200 smartwatch. Samsung has provided better build quality with a slight curved backside resting more comfortably on the wrists.The screen on the Samsung is also clearly brighter, but users need to charge both devices every day. Price from Chinese List Shows Moto 360 to Be Very Expensive

We all are waiting for the launch of three Android Wear devices that will hit the market very soon. We already know very much about the Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch but what is frustrating is the lack of information we have about Moto 360. Many people have their eyes only focused on Moto 360 but sadly it is the only one that people don’t know much about.

According to the inside news, Moto 360 very much resembles the other two devices but what is concerning the people is its price. While Samsung and LG have made their devices simple, the Motorola is introducing its Android Wear with more of a premium look and fine design. Some news tells that Moto 360 comes with wireless charging and sapphire glass, which could very well be the reason why it costs more.

Chinese site lists the price of Moto 360 to be 2,800 yuan. It is a cause of concern for anyone pre-ordering the device as the price is converted to be $450. The price of the other two Samsung and LG Android Wear devices on the same site is 1,500 yuan, which means Moto 360 has twice the price as compared to both of them.

The list might provide wrong pricing and might be only focusing on making profit from curious customers. The list displays the weight of Moto 360 to be 250g while the other two devices are at 60g range but people claims that Moto 360 is lighter than the other two devices.

Earlier the Motorola put the price of Moto 360 at watch face contest to be $249 but later it said that the price would be changed.

Moto 360 is priced at near $340 in Europe. So, one can assume that the price range for it will be from $300 to anything above.

Meanwhile, @upleaks has leaked system dump of the LG G Watch on its Twitter account. It shows several interesting details about the smartwatch. The leaks include a video of the boot animation for the LG G Watch and several watch faces that will be available for the G Watch. These are colorful watch faces in various designs and colors. The user can choose whichever display he fancies. There is a choice available from digital, analogue, black & white or in color. In each category there will be available different varieties that one can select.

LG G Watch model number LG-W100 has already appeared at the FCC. So the LG-W120L must be another variant of the LG G Watch.  LG-W100 needs a smartphone for calling or taking calls. The LG-W120L model is expected to have cellular connectivity.

Android wear is google’s operating system for wearable. The reason for making a different version of Android specifically for wearable devices is to provide a consistent experience across devices. With android in many other devices such as TVs, Cameras, and even Cars, its exciting to see what wearable android devices will bring to the market.

There have been other android watches but so far they have had their own custom version of Android. Google released the Android SDK earlier this year. The LG G Watch is the first android watch to use the Android wear SDK.

A video was released recently which shows the LG G Watch in its finished form. The video does not tell us anything that we didn’t know, but its a nice reminder of how the finished product will look.

The watch is to be released in champagne gold and stealth black. Its designed to be water resistant but we don’t know how much just yet. According to LG the watch is designed to be “always-on”. Details about the battery have not been released just yet.

The LG G Watch is supposed to be a smartwatch but we don’t know how many features will they be able to fit into its tiny form factor. Rumors suggest that the watch is going to have a 1.65 inch display (possibly OLED), and a 280 x 280 pixel display.
