Best Buy accidentally reveals Moto 360 smartwatch price tag,specs

Best Buy updated its website last weekend with details about Motorola’s unreleased Moto 360 smartwatch, despite the company’s efforts to keep the specs quiet ahead of its launch.


The smartwatch is expected to introduce next month at a Motorola press event on September 4. A leaked Best Buy product catalog shows that the most anticipated gadget will cost $249.99 when it hits the shelves.


Best Buy removed the page from its website by Monday morning, one day after the details first became visible on BestBuy.com. A Best Buy spokesperson confirmed media that the listing was accidentally made public and was taken down once the mistake was noticed.


Expectedly, the listing shows the Moto 360 as “coming soon.”  The leaked price tag falls right in line with a past reports, which suggested that the smartwatch would certainly be priced at $249.


Additionally, the Best Buy listing reveals info about the specs of the Moto 360. They include Texas Instruments processor, 1.5” LCD display with a resolution of 320 x 290 pixels and Gorilla Glass 3. It also features built-in heart rate monitor, and built-in pedometer, all inserted into a waterproof stainless steel body with plastic case back.

LG LifeBand Touch and HeartRate Earphones now available on Best Buy





The newest LG fitness-centric products are headed to the United States this week,living up to the promises. Best Buy is now selling the South Korean company’s LifeBand Touch and HeartRate Earphones.








LifeBand Touch is a smartwatch that utilizes a familiar cast of sensors (altimeter, gyroscope and the like) to record workout information and sync it to apps like RunKeeper and LG’s Fitness app. It’ll also let you check notifications for incoming calls and text messages, as well as control music playback right from your wrist.


On the other end, the Bluetooth-equipped HeartRate earphones, which uses the blood flow of the ear via PerformTek sensor technology (said to be more reliable and accurate than the finger) to detect your heart rate. The earphone monitors can automatically sync that information to your smartphone or LifeBand Touch, and will also ping you with your heart rate every now and then while you’re listening to your music.

Both devices are compatible with iOS 6 and Android 4.3 or 4.4 and even Android 4.2 and are now available in the US.The Lifeband Touch costs $149.99 and the Heart Rate Earphones are priced at $179.99. LG said the Lifeband Touch will be available in Asia and Europe later, but it didn’t give any further details.
