Apple is generating a lot more buzz with the launching date of iPhone 6 coming nearby. We already know 4.7 inch iPhone 6 variant would be hitting the market before 5.5 inch iPhone 6, and it seems there may be a reason for that. Till now the rumors suggesting that the two variants will have the same internals but the latest reports reveals different ones.
Cowen & Co. analyst Timothy Arcuri has told the investors in a report that Apple will be using two different processors on the basis of the Asian supply checks. The 5.5 inch iPhone 6 variant is expected to come with a faster and more capable processor than the 4.7 inch one. There might be a difference in the architecture of the two processors as well and not just in terms of clock speed. The bigger model would allow room for more significant upgrades to things like the GPU cores and more.

A difference in the touch module is considered to make its way as well to the two devices. The larger one will probably come with a sapphire display since Apple is not able to procure as many sapphire displays as it wants for the iPhone range. The bigger one is expected to be costlier and its demand is being estimated as way lesser than the 4.7 inch unit.
This wouldn’t be much of a shocker given that the iPad Air is also clocked faster than the iPad mini, despite using the same A7 processor. Apple might be taking a hint from Samsung’s playbook and having the larger iPhone 6 with faster internals, just like the Samsung Galaxy Note is a spec upgrade compared to the Galaxy S series.
5.5 inch iPhone 6 might be more powerful
