Mysterious 5.2-inch Sony Xperia smartphone with Android 5.0 Update

A new 5.2-inch Sony Smartphone was going through benchmark tests; this seems to be you are going to get the next smartphone soon. As Xperia Z3 was also a same size smartphone, this newly tested device could be the Xperia Z4. GFXBench and Geekbench were the benchmark test areas of the upcoming device.

Both of the benchmarks have reported the device’s model number and other features. Carrying out E2303 model number, this device is running the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update. In addition, an octa-core, 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor is powering the device with 4 GB internal memory only. Like other Sony smartphones, it also has 2 GB of Ram with 5.2” display and 720 x 1280 pixels of resolution.

This could not be the Xperia Z4 because the features look like this is for a mid-range smartphone after Xperia C3 that also has 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera.

Sony may not announce and show the new upcoming Sony Xperia Z4 on the upcoming MWC 2015. In fact, the leading mobile brand could introduce the new and mysterious E2303 device.

The company claims it to be “the world’s best selfie phone”.  Xperia C3 boasts of a 5MP front-facing camera with 25 mm wide angle lens giving an 80˚ field view, auto mode and soft LED flash making it the “smartphone for selfies”.

You now get a chance to win your dream selfie phone by taking part in the contest announced by Sony. The company has announced the contest on Facebook  that says,”Think you’ve got what it takes to snap the best selfie?”

To take part in the contest all you have to do is snap one or more selfies, connect to your instagram account, enter your email address and tag your selfies with #PROselfie.

All the terms and conditions and details of the contest can be obtained from the Facebook link given above. The contest is open to everyone who is 18 and above. The last date of participating in the contest is 4th of August and the winners will be announced at the end of the week.

Sony Xperia C3 is to hit the stores in China this month i.e. August. Other international markets will follow later.  The device sports a 5.5-inch 1280 x 720p HD display with Sony’s Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2. It is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU with Adreno 305 GPU and has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB with MicroSD card slot. There is an 8MP rear camera with auto focus and LED flash. The handset is LTE enabled and boasts of a 2500 mAh battery. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

Sony Xperia C3 “Selfie” phone launching today, leaked video and photos showing front camera and LED Flash!

It’s confirmed. Sony’s new “selfie” smartphone is launching today, 8 July. Sony has announced on Twitter “See your #selfies in a whole new light “and posted a picture below it showing a group of people taking a selfie, the photo having hashtags – #GetTheFullPicture #Tomorrow  8^th July 2014.

Selfie is trending so why should Sony lag behind? The new selfie phone has a powerful front camera to take pictures with great clarity. The source says that Sony’s new selfie smartphone will be called the Xperia C3 (code name Gina), a successor of Xperia C. Xperia C3 is touted to have an LED flash near the front camera and be powered by a 2500 mAh battery. However, the resolution of the shooter is not yet known.

The device will sport a 5-inch display although its resolution is not known. The internal details of the new Xperia C3 are also unavailable. According to the source, the Xperia C3 will be offered in several colors including black and turquoise. The pic below shows the phone in turquoise color.

A video of the Sony Xperia C3 has also been leaked (posted by Gizmobolt) in which we can see the front camera and the LED flash in action. The man taking the selfie taps the phone twice on the back to take the snap. The phone has a photo editing app by which he makes changes to the pic including changes in the color of his eyes.
