Microsoft officially launches its new Nokia X2

Just few days back, we had spotted that Microsoft is all set to unveil the successor of Nokia X and just yesterday, the computer giant officially announced Nokia X2. The specs for the device mostly go as per our earlier predictions.


The Nokia X2 hosts a larger 4.3” ClearBlack display with 800×480 pixel resolution and a 217ppi density. The device bakes an updated Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset with a dual-core Cortex CPU clocked at 1.2GHz. The Home Button has been newly introduced under the display and is placed next to the Back button. Looking to its memory options, the device comes with 1GB of RAM support, 4GB of internal memory and a 32GB of expandable memory via microSD card slot. The battery capacity of Nokia X2 stands to 1800mAh offering nearly 4 hours of internet cellular time for browsing.

At its back lies a 5MP primary camera while there is an additional from camera as well for Skype calling. Looking to its dimensions, Nokia X2 measures 121.7×68.3×11.1mm and weighs 150 grams. The device is basically a dual-SIM with dual Standby functionality. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.


Nokia has also updated its custom Android launcher for faster multi-tasking and viewing used apps and updated Fastlane. An free HERE Maps subscription with voice-guided navigation is also said to be present along with a refreshed shortcut menu in the notification drawer.


Nokia X2 is available in different color options of white, yellow, orange, black and glossy green and is priced for €99. Take a look at the official video released by Nokia.
