Windows 10 Will Be The Next Top Windows Operating System

Windows 10 Will Be The Next Top Windows Operating System

Now, it has been announced officially that the next Windows Operating System is ‘Windows 10’ and not Windows 9, as previously suggested.

One rumor about the OS is true – the Microsoft has announced unification of all the devices having Windows. Smartphone, laptop, tablets or desktop, any device that has Windows will be unified. The next Redmond’s mobile OS will also be called as Windows 10 or Windows Phone 10.

Microsoft further announced that the new Windows would be compatible with management programs; it has been said to provide separation of the corporate and personal data, store customize and claimed it to be the “greatest enterprise platform, ever”.

Windows phones will not have Desktop but their designing will be done by keeping Windows unification in mind. Even though the OS will be very similar but it may look different in various devices. Modern interface, formerly which was renowned as Metro, has now been renamed; it will now be known as ‘Universal’ which shows Microsoft’s objective.

The company has not revealed much about the Universal apps now. The unveiling of the details is expected in April, 2015. The only known information about these apps is that they will run on desktop devices and user can have them in Windows.

Corporate VP of the Operating Systems Group, Joe Belfiore, is optimistic about this new blending experience for the users and hoping positive outcomes. But only the time can tell the success of this unification because we cannot expect the same from the phone as from the PCs.

Microsoft May Show Off ‘Windows 9’ At September 30th Event

Everybody was sure that Microsoft would move beyond Windows 8 and soon launch something much improved in the market; however people were expecting that the next big version of Windows would be launched in 2015. Most anticipated time was April of the next year, but suddenly Microsoft has announced an event for September 30th, and now it is expected that it will be the time of unveiling Windows 9.

Microsoft May Show Off ‘Windows 9’ At September 30th Event

Recently, Microsoft has sent invitations for the event that will be held on 30th of this month in San Francisco. The invitation says “Join us to hear what’s next for Windows and the enterprise.” The invitation itself reveals nothing proper for the launch of Windows 9 (if that is the name of the new operating system) but surely people expect at this event Microsoft will show off a “Technical Preview” of the company’s next version of the Windows.

Lot of information is not in hands about the Windows 9 but a little is known. It has been predicted that new version of Windows may connect the operating system from phone to desktops. It is also expected to have changed UI focus for diverse devices. For desktops, less Metro UI is expected and more traditional desktop may appear with the newly designed start menu. On the other hand, tablets may have more of the Metro UI than the traditional desktop. According to the rumors, the word “Phone” will no longer be the part of the name of “Windows Phone”; it will be shortened to just “Windows”.

Just few days back we spotted a rumors saying is Microsoft would likely release the Windows 9 preview later this month on September 30th. Note that all these screenshots have arrived from the Windows technical preview itself.

Scroll Down for all the 20 leaked screenshots and a video at the bottom

The Windows 8 however was not quite successful in striking-the-chord with its audience/users. It has to be seen whether the upcoming Windows 9 with a more modern user interface or will Microsoft switch back to its own earlier tested/success-giving design. For the moment to decide this, we have nearly 20 screenshots of Windows 9 giving us the glimpse/idea about how the new OS would look like. The screenshots have arrived from German website Computer Base and WinFuture that is an alleged “Windows Technical Preview”. We expect the preview to go live in October where we expect to club the Modern/Metro Windows look with the classic Windows Desktop.

Taking a look at the screen shots below, the most noticeable change on the task bar is the magnifying lens symbol for search being placed next to the Windows Home Key. Observing closely, we also find a ‘virtual desktop’ button being placed next to the search key.

Traditional icons have been worked out properly so that they fit better into the flat lines of this new visual style of Windows. The new design also consists of a new notification center and the Start Menu has some very modern styled icons. Well, it seems we certainly going to get a more fresher look and enhanced system integration as compared to the existing Windows 8 with quicker navigation and accessibility to our required menus. For the moment check out all the screen shots below.
