Photos of dismantled Sony Xperia Z3 pop up ahead of IFA

There are only a few days left for Sony’s IFA media event on September 3 and already the Xperia Z3 pictures showing the dismantled handset have been leaked. Although we have seen numerous leaked photos of the Sony Xperia Z3 over the past few months, the new leaked set of images shows the handset from all the sides and gives us a peak at the insides as well.

Xperia Blog has got its hands on some very clear pictures of the disassembled handset. These photos seem to be those of Xperia Z3’s dual-SIM version. It is apparent that Sony’s new flagship packs a 3100mAh non-removable battery. You may recall that the Xperia Z2 sports a slightly bigger 3200mAh battery.

These pictures of the Sony Xperia Z3 more or less confirm what we have already seen but don’t give us a clue about its display. The device is thinner than its predecessor the Xperia Z2, with rest of the specs pretty much similar. The new Xperia Z3 is supposed to feature a 5.2-inch 1080p display, 2.5Ghz quad-core Snapdragon CPU, 3GB RAM and a 20.7MP primary camera, and it will surely be dust and water resistant like its predecessors.

Well, we will know more about the Xperia Z3 at the IFA 2014 show in about a week’s time when Sony is expected to officially announce the new flagship along with maybe the Xperia Z3 Compact and the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, the image and specs of which were leaked recently.

Specifications for Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact Leaked

After getting glimpse of the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact in a promo shot published accidentally and then removed by Sony on its Facebook page recently, the device is again in the news, this time for leaked specifications. A tipster has revealed the details of the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact specs to AndroidOrigin which give us an idea what the device would be like ahead of its announcement by the company.

Well, the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is tipped to feature an 8-inch 1920 x 1080 px resolution FHD IPS screen with Sony’s Triluminos display and the X-Reality picture processing engine. The screen will have an anti-reflection coating on the top for better reading.

Rumor suggests that like Xperia Z3, Sony would not be using the Snapdragon 805 chipset for this tablet also. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact will have the Snapdragon 801 chipset just like the Xperia Z2 Tablet but with the MSM8974AC processor which is faster than the Z2 Tablet’s MSM8974AB processor. RAM will be of 3GB and internal storage will be 16GB, same as that of the Z2 Tablet. There is no info about a microSD card slot but it is likely to have one.

In the Camera department, there’s tipped to be an 8MP rear camera with Sony’s Exmor RS sensor. Additionally there’ll be LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC as well as other accessories and features. The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact will pack a battery in the range of 4500 to 5000mAh. It will also be water and dust proof as the earlier leaked picture beside the pool suggested.

We’ll know for sure within a few days whether these specs are indeed true, as Sony is tipped to unveil the new Tablet at it’s IFA media event in Berlin on September 3.

Sony’s new Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and Smartwatch accidentally leak in a photo

Sony seems to be getting ready to showcase several of its new mobile devices in the IFA 2014 show in September to be held in Berlin. Sony released a promo on Sunday on its Facebook page that showed a man sitting by a pool holding small Sony Tablet and wearing a Sony Smartwatch.

The small tablet is probably the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and on the wrist must be Sony’s new Smartwatch. They devices are most certainly water resistant as they are shown being used beside the pool. Both the products are as yet unannounced by the company. The photo had been included in Sony’s SmartBand promotional pics on Facebook supposedly by mistake as the image has since been removed.

The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact had already leaked earlier in Sony’s user guide document for Sony’s Bluetooth speaker with a charging dock. The document shows the Bluetooth speaker to be compatible with its Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact as can be seen in the following picture. It appears that Sony is now entering the small tablet market too.

These two gadgets, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and new Smartwatch are expected to make a debut at Sony’s press event on September 3 at the IFA. We are already expecting the unveiling of Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact by the company at the event.
