Four New Devices Released by HP

HP too hoping on device-launching bandwagon has launched  four new devices Chromebook 11, Chromebook 14, Envy x2 and Pavilion x2. First lets see both the Chromebooks.

These two are the updated versions of earlier Chromebooks by HP. Chromebook 11 now runs on  2.16 GHz Intel Celeron N2830 rather than  ARM processors used by the earlier ones. This will surely improve its performance. The bigger one i.e. Chromebook 14 (shown in figure above) is now upgraded and is powerd by Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset.

Now lets move on to Envy x2, this is the successor of the HP’s detachable tablet Envy launched back in 2012. The new Envy x2 comes in two variants 13.3 inch and 15.6 inch, both of them run on Intel’s Core M processor. The new keyboard dock has fabric wrapping and is redesigned. The 13.3 inch version will be available in markets on 5th November while the 15.6 inch one on October 29.

The last one is Pavilion x2 which is another detachable tablet like the earlier seen Eny x2.  Priced at around $330 this tablet is going to be a cheaper one of the two. The tablet is 10.1” in size and is powered by Intel Atom processor. According to HP the battery backup of Pavilion is 11 hours long. The device will be available in markets on 29^th October.

Android based HP SlateBook PC with 14 inch display goes official

Last week, computing giant HP launched a new 14inch budget effective SlateBook PC that works on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS and has been launched in the black and yellow color theme. The device bakes a NVIDIA Tegra 4 SoC with a quad-core CPU and a clock speed of 1.8GHz. The device comes with 2GB of DDR3 RAM with a option of 16, 32 and 64GB built–in expandable memory. The display is basically a BrightView WLED-backlit touch-sensitive unit with a Full HD resolution of 1080p. Some of its additional hardware components include a Beats Audio quad-speaker, front-facing HD webcam, WLAN and Bluetooth.

Just like a laptop, HP SlateBook too has got different connectivity ports like USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and one HDMI port. A 3.5mm audio jack with microphone functionality is also present. The SlateBook Pc measures 16mm in thickness and weighs 1.7kg and hosts a battery that can offer seamless operation for up to 9 long hours. In addition to the SlateBook, HP also announced its ChromeBook 11 with a 11” display and a 1366×768 pixel resolution. The ChromeBook comes with Samsung Exynos 5250 chipset with dual-core CPU clocked at 1.7GHz.

The HP ChromeBook 11 comes with 16GB of built-in memory, a 100GB of free Google Drive for two complete years, Bluetooth, stereo speakers, two USB 2.0 ports, VGA webcam. The SlateBook 14 from HP will be available from August 6 for a price of $399 while the ChromeBook 11 will be available only in white color or turquoise one for a price of $249. Well, it seems HP has lot to offer to its fans this year ahead.
