Last month, Indian handset maker Micromax had made an official announcement of its plans of creating a new mobile device brand Yu. However, the Yu branded devices are said to be sold online only adopting the pattern of its Chinese rivals Xiaomi and OnePlus. Last month it was said that the first smartphone with the Yu brand would be released in December and now the company has officially sent out invites for the Yu event that is supposed to take place on December 18th. However, no details for the handset have yet been released which means we would get it next week only at the launch.
The co-founder of Micromax Rahul Sharma has ensured that the handset is going to be a monster with some very cool specs. Well, on December 18 it would be clear as to which ecommerce websites would be selling this new Micromax Yu branded handset as the company is reported to be in negotiation with various companies. Taking the software into consideration Cyanogen would have an exclusive relationship with the Yu brand of Micromax, which to some extent would surely have disappointed the existing owners of OnePlus in the country.
