Xiaomi Rumored to Launch Windows 10 Tablet in the Second Half of the Year

The last time that we heard about Xiaomi’s tablet is when the company launched Xiaomi Mi Pad in March 2014. As the tablet market sales has cooled down these few months, Xiaomi rumored to have given up in producing the device. However, in May 2015, Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun responded to the rumors by confirming that the company was working on yet another tablet. However, there is not any detail released about the specifications or the features that is going to be implemented in the tablet.

Recently, there is another rumor that the next tablet from Xiaomi will come pre-installed with Windows 10 and it will be launched somewhere in the third quarter of the year. It is yet to be known that the upcoming tablet will run the Mobile version of the Full version of Windows 10. As Microsoft recommends that Windows 10 full version is to be used for tablets with display screen size of 8-inch or more, we can expect that Xiaomi’s tablet screen size will be at least measured at 8-inch.

On August 16, Xiaomi is reported to unveil the company’s own user interface, MIUI, which is built on top of Android and normally found in the company’s products. However, it is going to be interesting if Xiaomi is able to use this user interface on Windows 10 although the probability is lower. There is no official confirmation regarding the company’s Windows 10 tablet. More details will be released nearer to the launch date.  Stay tuned!

The-new-Motorola-Moto-X-Style (6)

As a successor to the Moto X edition 2014, Motorola announces its new Moto X Style that comes with very stylish design curves, excellent customization options and a full-on Lollipop experience. Let’s discuss in detail as to what the device has to offer us.

Design and Display

Well, this is the major feature of the handset and its major USP. Buyers with the help of Motorola’s Moto maker service can choose between different materials, back plates and various accent colors. The back cover of the device comes with several design options of premium genuine leather and natural wood designs. For some more colorful options, you can even choose the Moto X Style with silicon rubber back. The excellent thing is that the material has been made up of special coating that would prevent the vivid, bright colors from fading out. The Moto Maker service is said to be made available in limited number of markets.

The good thing is that the Moto X Style is IP52 certified that makes it splash-resistant. To its front, there are two stereo speakers for a excellent video viewing and music listening experience.

At the front is the 5.7inch display panel offering the till date highest screen-to-body ratio of 76%. Such a humongous screen comes with an excellent QHD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. However, unlike the last year’s Moto X having a AMOLED to LCD display, this time the Moto X Style comes with a TFT LCD screen.

Hardware and Interface

Under the hood lies the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz and is supported with 3GB RAM memory to perform memory intensive tasks. The handset runs the stock-Android running on it. The SoC is said to be consisting of Contextual Computing Processor as well as Natural Language Processor that helps to enable some of the handset’s unique voice interaction and always-on gesture features.

Additionally, it also includes a 32GB of storage space and the other model comes with a 64GB of storage space. Moreover, the company has also added a microSD card slot for extra memory storage provision. This enables to further expand your memory pool by 128GB.

Additionally, within the interface, some of the extra goodies include features like Moto Display, Moto Assist, Moto Voice and Moto Actions included in it.

The excellent thing is that the handset is supported with a large 3000mAh of battery with the company’s own Turbo Charging technology method which can charge the battery for 10 hours of usage in just 15 minutes time duration.

Camera

The Moto X Style hosts a 21MP primary camera to the back with dual-tone LED flash, F2.0 aperture and phase detection auto-focus features. Take a look at some of the images taken from the phone’s camera that the company showed during the phone’s introduction. However, the disappointing factor is the lack of optical image stabilization. However, the camera is capable to capture 4K resolution HDR footage along with slow-motion videos.

To its front you can see a 5MP secondary camera which too comes with LED flash, f2.0 aperture and with excellent low-light condition performance. Here are some of the camera samples.

Now @OnLeaks has posted some images on twitter showing the rear side of the upcoming LG-made nexus. They are images of the rear cover of the Nexus device and have come from a case manufacturer. It can be seen that the rear side has three cutouts. There are two holes one below the other which could accommodate the rumored dual camera. There is also a rectangular hole by their side where the flash unit of the camera could be placed.

Well, the images are said to be based on some “very early informations” and should be taken with a grain of salt as there may be several changes made to it by the time the final LG-made nexus is announced officially. It is rumored that both LG-made and Huawei-made Nexus devices will be running Android M out-of-the-box and could be launched in October this year.
