Selfie cameras or we can say the front facing cameras these days have turned out to be a major attraction for smartphone makers in the industry. Recently, Indian handset maker Micromax announced its first Canvas Selfie smartphone with a whopping 13MP camera at the front. This dual SIM handset is designed considering the new HTC Desire Eye and yes the front facing camera also hosts a LED flash to its front.
Looking to its some of the other specs, the handset packs a 4.7” display with 720p resolution protected with a shield of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered with a 1.7GHz octa-core CPU with 2GB of RAM support and 16GB of internal expandable memory. The device runs the Android KitKat 4.4 version and offers and battery support with capacity of 2300mAh. To its back, the smartphone sports a 13MP primary camera with Sony sensors and dual LED flash.
Being a camera centric phone, the Micromax Canvas Selfie will offer some of the software tricks to enhance the photographs through different adjustments and edit them with different functions. This includes Eye enhancement and face slimming along with others. The device would be launching in India the second week of next month in two colors of Mystic Blue and Angelic White. The pricing for the handset has yet not been disclosed.
