Google releases Android 5.0.2 factory image along with OTA update for Nexus 7

Last week, Google has released the Android 5.0.1 factory image for its Google Nexus 5, after which the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 owners could soon get their hands on the update. Now the company has also released the Android 5.0.2 Factory image for the ongoing Nexus 7 tablet.


However, the good thing is that along with the factory image Google has also released an OTA update for the tablet. The update comes with a build number LRX22G and this update aims to fix the issues on the tablet pertaining to storage and the alarm on the device. The earlier 2012 version of Nexus 7 had received the Android 5.0.1. this means that this a device specific update for the OG Nexus 7 to fit its own corresponding issues.


As earlier said this factory image is helpful for people trying out some customizations to their slate and lose out on their way. Flashing this factory image will help you make your tablet getting back to work. Additionally if you have rooted the device there are chances of you skipping the OTA update.
