Sony Xperia Z4 LCD Digitizer images leak hinting at a 5.2” QHD display

After recent leaks of renderings and case of Sony Xperia Z4, we now have leaked images of its LCD digitizer. There is no end to the rumors and leaks about the Japanese giant’s much awaited, highly anticipated new flagship device and we can expect a lot more to surface before the device is finally unveiled by the company.

The latest leak has been spotted on the Esato Forum board where some images of the Xperia Z4’s LCD Digitizer have been posted by Tizzo. It is also claimed that an LCD panel supplier (name not disclosed) has said that the display of the new Xperia Z4 measures 5.2-inches and it has a Quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels equivalent to 565ppi pixel density. This is an upgrade over Xperia Z3’s display which also has a 5.2-inch screen but its resolution is only 1080 x 1920 pixels with pixel density of 424ppi.

The latest leak is in line with the earlier rumors regarding the handset’s display which was also pegged at 5.2-inch but was speculated whether it would be Quad HD or Full HD. Sony Xperia Z4 will supposedly be powered by a Qualcomm 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 chipset and a 3GB DDR4 RAM. It will sport a 20.7MP primary camera with the new Sony Exmor RS IMX 230 sensor and is expected to have Android 5.0.2 Lollipop on board.

Earlier, Sony was in the habit of releasing one flagship every half year but this time the company has delayed the launch of the Xperia Z4. The handset is now expected to be launched in summer, maybe within the next 3 months or so.
