Nexus 9 likely to host a 64-bit Tegra K1 chipset confirms CPU-Z

The 8.9” inch Nexus tablet that is likely to arrive this year as a joint product of HTC and Google and the device is staying these quite in rumors with the name of Nexus 9. The latest reports coming from the hardware accessing app CPU-Z show that the upcoming Nexus 9 with host a NVIDIA Tegra K1 64-bit chipset. We have earlier also speculated that the HTC made Nexus tablet will be having a Nvidia Tegra K1 Chipset and now the rumors seem to be quite strong enough as the release date is approaching closer.


The Tegra K1 chipset baked in the upcoming Nexus 9 will be clocked sufficiently higher at 2.5GHz which is above the 2.2GHz non 64 bit Tegra K1 chipset. According to NVIDIA, this chipset is nearly 1.5 times more powerful and efficient and that to with optimum utilization of battery life despite delivering this immense power. The Tegra K1 chipset has a 192 core GPU with a desktop-grade Kepler architecture and Nvidia’s Cuda cores. The Nexus 9 tablet is supposed to host a 8.9” display with 4:3 aspect ratio, 1440×2048 pixel resolution, 8MP of primary camera and the latest launched Android L OS from Google on-board.
