Earlier today, Samsung has released an official announcement regarding the new feature for the smartwatch OS in the company’s Tizen Developer Summit 2015 in Bangalore. The OS which is known as the Tizen OS will be implemented for the smartwatch which built with a round bezel ring surrounding the product’s display screen. Therefore, by using this ring, users will be able to navigate through the apps by rotating it.

Tizen OS is Samsung’s open source OS for smartwatch especially those which is built to have a rounded display screen size. However, the company did not mention specifically that it is for the upcoming Gear A smartwatch or any other product. Gear A smartwatch will be Samsung’s first smartwatch with round display screen size and it is most probably going to have that feature.

On top of that, the device is also rumored to come with a dual-core Exynos processor, a 768MB RAM, a 4GB internal storage and a 250mAh battery size. Other features such as display resolution of 360 x 360, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi as well as 2G cellular connectivity.

A recent rumors also mentioned that Gear A smartwatch will also have Samsung Pay capabilities but with limited functionality. There is no confirmation from Samsung regarding the specification so far but Samsung will officially showcase the device on August 13 in the Samsung’s event.

Samsung Z3 Promises to be a Decent Tizen OS Smartphone which also Comes with Super AMOLED Display Screen

After Samsung Z1 was sold for a millions units, Samsung is releasing the next model under the same line, Samsung Z3. Similar to Z1, Z3 will also be running on Tizen OS and will have some enhancements over Z1.

According to a reliable source, SamMobile, Samsung Z3 will featue a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 inches and is running on a quad-core Spreadtrum SC7730S processor clocked at 1.3GHZ, a 1.5GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, a 5MP selfie camera as well as 8MP rear camera with LED flash. On top of that it also supports dual SIM. As for the physical appearance, it will be weighing at 140 grams and measured at 141.5 x 70 x 9.5 mm. Z3 will include a 2600mAh battery size. If you compared this to the previous Z1, it is definitely better as Z1 only have a 4-inch display screen with 480 x 800 pixels.

Samsung Z3 is recently imported to India as it is likely going to be released in India first before it is released to other countries for testing purposes as well as for partnership events. Z3 is planned to be officially announced in the end of July during the Indian Tizen Developer Summit.

Apart for releasing Android smartphone, apparently Samsung is also releasing smartphone which is running on Tizen OS.  Tizen is an operating system which is based on Linux and targeted at a very wide range of devices including smartphones, tablets, in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) devices, smart TVs and many others. It is a project within Linux foundation and is governed by Technical Steering Group (TSG) which includes Samsung and Intel among others.

The first generation of Tizen OS smartphone from Samsung is Samsung Z1. It is only released in a certain locations worldwide with one of them is India. In order to attract more consumers, on top of the cheap pricing (cost less than $100), Samsung includes something called Joy Box which is a free entertainment pack containing movies, TV and music. Samsung Z1 is a 4-inch touchscreen with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution and it is running on a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 768MB RAM and a 4GB internal memory which can be expandable up to 64GB using a MicroSD card.

With Samsung Z1 selling pretty well, Samsung is releasing the next version of Tizen smartphone falls withing “Z” line, which is Samsung Z3 or also known as SM-Z300H. There is not many information on Samsung Z3 released to the public, however, according to some rumors, it comes with a 5-inch display size, quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB expandable storage space, 5MP rear camera and 2MP selfie camera. On top of that, it will be pre-installed with Tizen 3.0.

Tizen OS is for all Samsung Smart TVs in 2015

Samsung developers have introduced Tizen operating system for the smartphones in 2014. Now they are introducing the new operating system for the Samsung Smart TVs too. Samsung is going to launch many Smart TVs in 2015 and they will run the new system, Tizen.

Samsung and Intel have developed the operating system Tizen which is based on Linux OS. New and better applications and functionality will be available in the Tizen Smart TVs. Moreover, the Smart TVs will show you the stats of the players while watching any match. In addition, it will not need any console while streaming PlayStation 3 or 4 games on your television.

The operating system is also similar to the webOS of LG Smart TVs. This type of Linux-based OS helps the TV to enhance the feature and functionalities.

Samsung has not announced any feature of the Tizen based Smart TVs. But, we can expect to get the announcement soon as well as the TVs in 2015.
