iPhone 6s Reported to Come with 12MP camera but smaller pixels as reported by IHS CEO

As reported by Kevin Wong, the CEO of IHS China, Apple apparently will be using 12MP camera for the next iPhone models, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. With bigger pixels, normally, the result is a better quality of pictures when taken in low-light environment since there is less noise. However, unfortunately, the device will come with smaller pixels.

With smaller pixels, it means that less light get soaked into each individual unit in theory, however, since there are a lot of factors that can affect the result of the pictures captured by the camera, we can only wait until the real product has been launched so that we can test on the camera to see the real result. On top of that, we will need a few more information about the new duo products at the later date to know what else is going to be embedded into the products in order to enhance the photo quality despite the smaller pixels.

IHS is a company which provides information and analysis to support the decisions made by businesses and governments in industry such as aerospace, defense and security, automotive, chemical, energy, maritime, trade and technology.

If given a choice, would you want to buy a product with 8MP camera with bigger pixels or 12MP camera with smaller pixels?
