Gionee Elife 8 Boasts 23MP Rear-Camera That Can Take 100MP Photos

The latest flagship smartphone from Gionee, Gionee Elife 8 will be released soon. Recently, the device has been registered under TENAA in China, which is equivalent to FCC in USA. On the new poster, it boasts that the smartphone comes with a 23MP rear camera and it is capable of capturing and producing pictures with 100MP resolution. It is apparently the first smartphone which is able to do so in the market currently.

It seems like Gionee will be using similar technology as used by OPPO to produce the high quality pictures. The camera could be using OmniVision OV23850 sensor which comes with 23.8MP sensor and also features phase detection autofocus, HDR in real-time for video only and 4K video at 30fps.

On top of that, according to GFXBench benchmark test, the phone will feature 1440 x 2560 resolutions on its 4.6-inch screen which in the end will produce a pixel density of 639ppi.  In case if you could not imagine how it looks like, try to compare it with the 5.1-inch screen on Samsung Galaxy S6 which carries pixel density of 577ppi.

Other features of the smartphone including a 2GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB expandable storage and a Huawei Mate 7 style fingerprint sensor. Furthermore, the battery size will be 3520mAh battery and it come pre-installed with Android 5.0.

Overall, it seems like a good specifications, we just need to wait until the product is  officially launched!
