Apple Watch orders Samsung for Efficient Processor

A new model of Apple Watch will come with shiny and amazing features. Apple will need to wait to make Cupertino makes a good wearable device to make it public. Apple has used S1 SiP (system-in-package), a small sized SoCs chip that is used in the smartphones and tablets.

Although Apple S1 is the processor of Apple made, this seems to be originated from Samsung brand. The hardware components have ordered to Samsung by the Apple brand.

According to the report on DiGiTimes, this is said that Apple has ordered for 3,000 and 4,000 12-inch silicon Apple S1 SiP to Samsung. The hardware working process is based on Samsung’s 28mm method and the order is for per month.

However, the demand of the Apple Watch could be 10 million in 2015 and it’s hard to believe that the small amount of order could meet the demand. Samsung becomes one of the member Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE) who supplies the S1 processor. But, this news has not announced officially by the ASE about the membership of Samsung.
