Samsung Tizen to be launched in India by November

Samsung, the South Korean giant is preparing to execute their most ambitious move against Google Android System in November. They are going to introduce Tizen OS in India near Diwali festival. Tizen is Samsung in-house OS to fight against Google’s popular Android OS.


Samsung has already showcased their smartwatch successfully running Samsung’s Tizen OS. Samsung is targeting the market which is already been captured by Google Android and Apple iOS.


The announcement of Tizen smartphones in India was done at the launch of Club Samsung 2.0 service. Director of Media Solution Centre, South West Asia, Tarun Malik confirmed the news to Economic Times about launching Tizen smartphones in India. The report discards early release of Samsung Z .The same team is directly responsible for the promotion of Tizen in India.


The Samsung Z is going to be the first commercially available flagship Tizen phone. The phone features a 4.8-inch HD (720p) Super AMOLED display, similar to Galaxy S3 display. It also features 2.3GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with BSI sensor and LED flash, 16 GB inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB) and 2.1 megapixel front camera. The phone will run on a 2600mAh battery.


Until then, Samsung will launch budget Samsung SM-Z130E or SM-Z130H Tizen-based handsets. But not much is known about the budget phones Samsung is planning to release.


Samsung Tizen phone will boost its contention in market through its Club Samsung 2.0 service, which will serve localized music, TV shows and videos. The Tizen OS will easily connect to other media streaming services such as Airtel Wynk and Vodafone Music Store.
