Redesigned Asus FonePad 7 Launched in Philippines for Php 5,995

Asus launched its redesigned FonePad 7 (FE170CG) in Philippines for Php 5,995 to attract budget-conscious Filipino consumers.


Redesigned Asus FonePad 7 (FE170CG) was initially launched in Thailand. The new Asus Zen UI interface would be used in the redesigned FonePad7. The new tablet can be used to make phone calls, send text message and other tablet functionalities. It has a 7 inch display, that’s larger than most phones and smaller than a standard tablet.


The budget device Asus FonePad 7 (FE170CG) comes with a lower resolution display and a weaker processor when compared to the FonePad 7 model released last year.

A 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z2520 Clover Trail+ processor is used in this model, which Intel launched last year. The chipset design is expected to deliver great performance and consume very little power. It is featured with two cores and each of them uses Hyper Threading technology which enables smoother HD video playbacks and faster web browsing.


The last year’s FonePad 7 display resolution was 800 x 1280 pixels but the redesigned device’s 7 inch display now comes with a lower resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.


This redesigned new model of FonePad 7 comes will also be coming with dual SIM variant. It’s a feature never was mentioned before by the company. This feature allows the users to slip in two SIM cards on the new FonePad 7 & make the better use out of two different mobile networks at the same time.
