Lenovo A7000 goes official as the first handset with Dolby ATMOS sound

In addition to announcing its Vibe Shot, Lenovo also announced the affordable mid-range handset Lenovo A7000. This is the first handset that would feature Dolby’s new surround sound tech known as the Dolby Atmos. This is what Lenovo had to stay at the launch of this handset: “Users will immediately hear the Dolby Atmos difference using headphones: sounds of people, places, things, and music become more vivid and move from all directions, including overhead, with astonishing clarity, richness and depth. Voices and noises have a broader range from highs to lows, with the greatest subtlety. The technology also makes playback volume more consistent across all types of content.”

Taking a look at its specs, the smartphone comes with a 5.5” HD display, a powerful octa-core 1.5GHz MediaTek chipset, 2GB of RAM memory, 8GB of internal expandable and connectivity options like 4G LTe supported with dual micro-SIM slots. To its back, the device would be having a 8MP primary camera while its front would host a 5MP secondary camera.

The dimensions of the device show it to be just 7.9mm thick and packs a powerful 2900mAh of battery life. The handset is very affordably priced for $170 and is expected to be available later this month.
